About Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa

Pastor Blessed is the resident pastor of The WaterBrook Church in Lekki, Lagos-Nigeria. He was born in Delta State in the Southern part of Nigeria and now lives in Lagos. A Microsoft-certified IT expert, he was a network engineer at MicrowareSolutions/IBM Partners and an IT administrator at Tetra Pak. He also has worked with AstraZeneca as an IS/IT Business Support for South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. He studied Computer Science at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT). At Stanford University, he also studied Advanced Project Management.

• The pair dressed to represent their cultural history for their traditional wedding. Pastor Blessed wore the native attire of his Delta people, while Mercy wore that of the Ikwerre people of Rivers.

  

• Mercy Chinwo chose a fit-and-flare lace wedding dress with a top-round illusion neckline for the white wedding. The dress has a large floor-length train that begins at the back of the waist and seems removable. On the other hand, the groom, Pastor Blessed, sported an oxblood pair of shoes along with a light brown wedding suit.

  

• The wedding events happened one after the other in August. Foremost, the court wedding was in Lagos on August 4th. The traditional and church weddings took place in Port Harcourt on August 12th and 13th, respectively, However, they did their marriage introduction on July 18 at the home of Mercy Chinwo in Port Harcourt.
• Many celebrities attended Mercy Chinwo’s wedding. Among them were Adesua Etomi, a well-known and accomplished Nollywood actress. Likewise, her husband, Bankole Wellington (Banky W) was present.
